- Do your sheep need Copper? Ask your Vet & do some laboratory tests on liver and take blood samples. If your sheep need Copper to get good growth & prevent swayback then use a drench or bolus containing copper, but do not overdose.
- Lick buckets can be good to supply some minerals not in your boluses or drench e.g. Biotin & Zinc are in our "Hoof" Mineral Bucket. But drenches and boluses are more reliable for Copper, Cobalt, and Selenium & Iodine as you know the sheep gets its dose.
- Drench at first worming & at weaning with Ovi-Power "CoppaGrow" or Ovi-Power No Added Copper. Long keep lambs can be bolused six weeks after weaning with Tracesure Traffic Light Boluses, with or without Copper depending on the Copper needs.
- Ewes - either drench with Ovi-Power "CoppaGrow" or Ovi-Power No Added Copper, or bolus with Tracesure Traffic Light Boluses six weeks pre-tupping and six weeks pre-lambing (when you vaccinate your ewes)
