BAA-MAT system for help with Sheep Lameness
•    Baa-Mat- to hold the footbath chemical in sheep-friendly way
•    We recommend use with TK Double D Intensive Footbath 

The Baa-Mat consists of a thick plastic 'tarpaulin' outer envelope, and inner mesh envelope, in which sits the foam layer. So the foam is replacable.

Baa-Mat Instructions:-
Creep Feeder System.
Place the correct number of Baa-Mats under the creep feeder.  These mats are 1m deep by 2m long. 
Leave the Mats under the feeder with no chemical added for two days until the lambs are used to standing on the mat.
Prepare a 2% solution of TK Double D Intensive Footbath  and add 50L to each Baa Mat.
Top up with 10L of 2% solution weekly. Total use is approx. one 20L barrel per 1.5m. mat per year.
Clean the Mats and refill with new solution after one month or more frequently if necessary.
Regularly move the creep feeders and Mats to avoid the area around them becoming muddy as this can harbour infectious bacteria. There are straps fixed underneath the mats outer cover.
 
Lick Bucket System
We recommend that one Baa-mat/ Lick bucket system should be used per 100 ewes/ store lambs.
Place the Baa Mat next to a fence and put the lick bucket on top and secure to the fence. The mat we recommend for this use is 1m x 2m, to allow enough length for sheep to get all their feet on.
Leave the Mats with no chemical added for two days until the sheep are used to standing on the mat.
Prepare a 2% solution of TK Double D Intensive Footbath  and add 70L to each Baa Mat.
Top up with 14L of 2% solution weekly. Total use is approx. one 30L per 2m. mat per year.
Clean the Mats and refill with new solution after one month or more frequently if necessary.
Regularly move the Baa-mat/ lick bucket system to avoid the area around them becoming muddy as this can harbour infectious bacteria.
