C4A stands for "Care 4 Animals".

C4A liquid is added to liquid feed or drinking water to improve the microbiome of the animals gut.

The active ingredients are four fatty acids that are combined with glycerine to create fat  or lipid molecules. This gives the following advantages-

  • the lactive fatty acids are no emulsified, so easily mix with water and liquid feeds such as milk
  • the fatty acids are protected in their travel through the stomach
  • the taste and smell of the free fatty acids is removed
  • the lipase enzyme in the small intestine then digests the lipid and releases the active fatty acids to do their work

What is their 'work'? what do the fatty acids do and what benefits are there ?

  • the fatty acids act on both gram positive and gram negative gut bacteria to product a healthier gut flora, or 'microbiome'.
  • This better gut health helps the animal to digest its food better and absorb more nutrients
  • Higher production and less gut disease is seen
