How long does it take you to get a newly calved cow milked?
As you may know, the quality of colostrum decreases by 3% per hour. This means that if a cow calves at 7pm and then isn’t milked until the next morning’s milking there has been a 36% loss in colostrum quality over 12 hours.
Ideal for freshly calved cows in your calving yard the Mini Milker is a very popular piece of kit enabling you to milk each fresh calver immediately, collecting her colostrum at its highest quality and without risking moving newly calved cows to the parlour.
The Portable Milking Machine runs off a standard 13-amp supply with a 3/4 horsepower motor operating the oil-free graphite-vaned vacuum pump. Cluster & pneumatic pulsator included. There is a 22 litre vacuum reserve tank, and the receiver / milk churn has a generous 40 litre capacity. Two large wheels and a third braked wheel make it easy to move to the cow.
Petrol powered option- Out of Stock
There is also a dual-fuel option of the Mini Milker which has the advantage of being able to run on either on electricity or on petrol when required.
The electric motor is the same as the standard electric milker, working off a 13-amp supply. The petrol engine is a 6.5hp four stroke engine that runs on regular unleaded petrol. Running just above tick-over speed, the machine runs quietly enough to not disturb the cow.
