Back on T-Hexx
A teat protection dip that seals the teat canal for upto 7 days. Safe for herd & herdsmen. Excellent for use during drying-off and pre-calving periods when the potential for coliform infections are at their highest. DRY-DIP is a cosmetic-grade polymer that adheres to the teat.
Apply ideally the day after drying off, when the teat is large. Again 7-10 days prior to calving, & again 3-5 days prior to calving.
1 L will do approximately 90 cow applications.

Dry Dip- Application and Expectations
Tips on applying Dry Dip-
Whenever you apply it, you MUST clean and dry the teats. Dirt and grease on the teats obviously interferes with the sticking capabilities
You MUST apply as high up the teat as you can, as it starts to roll down from the top. Just doing the teat end will definitely not work.
After a ten seconds, apply a second coat.
The manufacturers say a second coat can be applied after the first is dry, but that is difficult in the time frames often available.
Also they suggest applying the day after drying off as then the teat is larger. Doing at actual drying off can result in the coating stretching / splitting as the teat swells.
Expectations- in our cattle (beef sucklers) we found that some cows lost the coating in a couple of days and some in three days, however, wiping did not occur before . Also cows were on straw which could be more abrasive.
Dry-Dip is not a magic wand, just an aid in covering the teat at high risk times and the better job done in applying, the longer it lasts.
