Toe nails, outer skin layers, hoof, wool and hair are mainly made of the protein called Keratin.
Our HOOF & HAIR Supplement will ensure an increased supply of keratin ingredients. So it is great for show preparation or if animals have defects of their hooves or skin.
Obviously these are body parts that take a long time to grow, so feeding of "Hoof & Hair" should be a long term, daily program.
Keratin is hard and insoluble, so gives a protective layer
The amino acids in this Keratin protein contain sulphur. These have many cross links between the proteins and so give the structural function to keratin and the body parts made of it.
Directions for Use
Growing Cattle – mix powder into the hard feed at 25g / head / day.
Show Sheep - mix powder into the hard feed at 2.5 g /head / day.
