Making things Better & Easier

We are always trying to make things BETTER VALUE, PROBLEM SOLVING, BETTER DESIGNED, LESS WASTEFUL, SIMPLE, EASY, TARGETTED & TO REDUCE MEDICINES -

Some examples-

  • We keep down the costs and availability up by manufacturing in-house on many products
  • More effective

e.g. our BactoBAN dairy plant cleaning system of concentrated chemicals +/ - automated washing really gives great results and low bactoscans

  • Solve a problem

e.g. Perfect Udder Colostrum Bags for hygienic colostrum storage & feeding. Basically no flies or cats in buckets of colostrum and the ability to cool, freeze, thaw & feed from the single use bag

  • Improve design

e.g a Pelvi-Measure with narrower tips - breed for easier calvings by selecting for larger pelvic size

  • Reduce plastic, waste and transport inefficiency

e.g. cardboard options, rather than plastic boxes for our 100 Lifeguard elelectrolyte sachets & Fresh Cow Drink. But we do recognise that plastic boxes & buckets are very useful on farms, so they are still available.

  • Simplify product choice

e.g. PumpaCOW, one all-purpose oral fluid for cows, rather than different sachets for 'this, that and the other'. New-calved cows and cows off food need very similar nutritional support after all.

  • Make jobs easier

e.g. keeping mild to moderately scouring calves on milk with our RehydroGEL liquid electrolyte . It is also a good sized bottle and dispenser.

  • Accurately target inputs to the animals that need it

e.g. FreshCalc D3 bolus , gives a boost on the day of calving.

  • Reduce antibiotic use

e.g. TK Double D foot spray, rather than the aerosol tins of tetracyclines. It's independently proven to be as effective in sheep with Scald.
