Arthritis & Joint-ill in lambs
The most common cause in the UK is a bug called Streptococcus dysgaloctia, usually infecting the lamb through the naval.
All bugs sampled were resistant to tetracycline. This throws doubt on the common use of oxytetracycline aerosols for navel dressing & emphasising the importance of colostrum intake.
